“CPC Certification and TÜV Hessen aim to offer solutions to the construction materials manufacturers in VOC-SVOC approval, which hasgained importance in the European building sector in recent years.”
In recent years, the use of alternative raw materials in the cement sector is an important issue that attracts the attention of producers due to reasons such as protection of natural resources, reduction of the emission of greenhouse gases and cost reduction. Raw materials that need less energy in the rotary kiln and / or mill can meet these important needs of the sector. Likewise, alternative components can contribute positively to the sector.
Belite-calciumsulfoaluminate-ternesite (BCT), the clinker of Calcium Sulfo Aluminate Cement, which it’s EAD was published last year, is one of the most recent examples of such raw materials. It is obtained from Yee’lmit. Thermal requirement of this cement is at 1250-1300 0C. Due to the components in its content, this cement gains both early strength as well as aluminate cements and does not lose its strength in the long term.
Various components obtained from wastes as additives during the production of cement can also make positive contributions to the manufacturer and the environment. Ashes from municipal waste incineration, slag from iron and steel industry are the most practical and least harmful solutions for reducing the environmental damage caused by cement.
Since the products and additives mentioned above do not have any standard under construction materials, it is possible to use these products and additives in accordance with the European Technical Assessment (ETA). As CPC Certification, we provide services to the whole construction sector.
“In December 2019, TFI Aachen and CPC Certification decided to cooperate to meet the quality needs of the manufacturers for certification of flooring units in the building materials sector.”
