Seza Çimento has invested in 16 fully electric construction machines in line with its sustainable production vision. Strengthening its fleet with the goal of reducing its carbon footprint, the company has integrated new electric loaders and electric trucks into its operational processes.
As one of the most environmentally friendly production facilities in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Türkiye, Seza Cement aims with this investment to further reinforce its environmental responsibility while enhancing operational efficiency. Through the use of zero-emission machinery, the company expects to achieve significant gains in energy efficiency and lower operating costs.
The 16 fully electric machines added to Seza Cement’s fleet consist of four electric loaders with a 3.7 cubic meter bucket capacity and four electric trucks with a 70-ton payload capacity. In the second phase of the fleet expansion, two electric loaders with a 4.7 cubic meter capacity and six additional 70-ton electric trucks are scheduled for delivery by the end of March.
These new-generation machines, powered entirely by electricity and operating with zero emissions, also stand out for their quiet performance. The electric vehicle investment is expected not only to reduce carbon emissions but also to deliver substantial savings in maintenance and fuel costs.
Chair of the Board of Seza Cement, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık, stated that this investment represents a key milestone in the company’s green transformation strategy:
“Our new electric construction machines constitute a significant link in the green transformation journey we have pursued with determination since our establishment. While fulfilling our environmental responsibilities through zero-emission operations, we will also further enhance our operational efficiency.”
