Every day, a new technology is added to the existing ones used in the cement industry revolutionizing the way to protect the environment on the path to create a more sustainable world. A new example to those technologies is the new plant established for Medcem Çimento which is one of the largest cement plants in Turkey. Equipped with the latest ORC system developed by CTN Group which addresses many different points of production and industry by implementing state-of-the-art applications and systems, the plant will generate approximately 75 million kWh of electricity and will be a plant with a carbon emission of 33,053 CO2 .

CTN Group produces environmentally friendly plants to reduce energy and carbon emissions by making use of the existing waste without consuming underground resources and intended for reducing dependence on fossil fuels as energy generation and use in green industry accounts for more than 75% of the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions, one of the latest studies within this context was realized with Medcem Çimento. Nearly 75 million kWh of electrical energy is generated from waste heat thanks to the ORC technology installed in Medcem’s plant and thus, a plant with a carbon emission of 33,053 CO2 is being established.

The plant which is equipped with the latest technologies follows all of the processes of Industry 4.0 and operates without requiring additional personnel. Planned to be completed in 16 months, the project continues to rise and progress at full pace.
