Bursa Cement 57th Ordinary General Assembly was held. The general assembly held in the central building of Bursa Cement was attended both face-to-face and online. During the meeting, the 2022 annual report was shared with the participants, and information was provided about long-term goals.
Speaking at the general assembly, Bursa Cement Group Board Member Ergun Kağıtçıbaşı stated that Bursa Cement had signed a very important investment this year and said, “It’s been more than half a century since our establishment. There have been significant improvements from the past years to now, particularly in technology. Therefore, the investment implemented is of great importance. When this investment is completed, there will be a reduction in energy costs, which hold a large share in maintenance, operation and expenses, and we will have made an important contribution to our environmentally friendly approach.”
General Coordinator of Bursa Cement Gilbert Noel Claude Natta also provided information on the global and Turkish economy to the participants and shared about the group companies’ investments in 2022 and future.
We will sign up to an environmentally friendly investment
Bursa Cement General Manager Osman Nemli provided information on the global and Turkish cement sector and made statements about the company’s long-term goals and new modernization investment. Stating that 60 percent of the investment has been completed, Nemli added, “The sustainability investment we have realized is a very good opportunity for us to protect nature and leave a beautiful world to our children. We will make an environmental-friendly investment with which natural resources are used in the most efficient way. With this project, we aim to reduce maintenance, operation and energy costs by using the latest technological equipment, minimize emission values, increase the profitability of our company, prevent environmental dust pollution, and reduce our water and carbon footprint.”
Underlining that they also care about social responsibility work, Nemli also shared their work in this area with the participants.
