Two umbrella organizations of the cement sector, Cement Industry Employers Association (ÇEİŞ) and TÜRKÇİMENTO are collaborating for education. Setting off from the fact that people is the most important source of sustainable competitive advantage, leaders of the sector launched the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in cooperation with MEF University. The first course of the Cement Sector MBA Program, in which 34 employees from the sector participate, was commenced on 26 September 2022.
Another move was made by the cement sector made in these days when the importance of human resources is appreciated. Being the two umbrella organizations of the cement sector ÇEİŞ and TÜRKÇİMENTO took action for the development of the employees in the sector. Cooperating with MEF University in this context, the sector organizations launched the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The program, which will be held with the participation of 34 employees from different levels will go on for 1 year.
Designed specifically for the cement sector under the coordination of MEF University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan ERKUT, the program started on 26 September 2022 following the signing ceremony held with the participation of MEF University Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammed ŞAHİN, ÇEİS Secretary General Dr. H. Serdar ŞARDAN and TÜRKÇİMENTO CEO Volkan BOZAY.
ÇEİS Secretary General Dr. H. Serdar ŞARDAN said, “We are aware investing in people produces the most valuable return in our developing and changing world. Therefore, we are aware that it is not enough for us to only grab the responsibility but to take it to a higher level. For this reason, we gathered the sector and started the MBA program specifically for the cement sector.” CEO of TÜRKÇİMENTO, Volkan BOZAY said: “The cement sector is one of the sectors with the highest number of trainings hours per capita. We are aiming to contribute to both the technical knowledge level and personal development of employees in the cement sector with our highly comprehensive training programs to be launched launch specifically for the sector. We are always proud to invest in the development of our human resource with the training program, featuring courses created with contents such as “Operation and Process Management”, “Strategic Management”, “Financial Management”, “Law”, “Sustainability”, “Economy” that we have developed in cooperation with MEF University and which we consider to be a great contribution to the quality of human resource in our sector”.
