A delegation comprising of Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO) Gaziantep Branch Chairman Gokhan Celikturk, Hasan Kalyoncu University Civil Engineering academicians, civil engineers and students organized a technical trip to the Cimsa Cimento ve Beton Sanayi Narlı Cement Plant – SANKO Holding investment in cement industry – and Gaziantep concrete plant, SANKO Holding’s investment in the cement sector.
Meeting the delegation in the plants, Cimko Cimento ve Beton Sanayi Ticaret A.S. Chairman Adil Sani Konukoglu said: “Quality is the priority of SANKO Holding in cement as well as in every business in all sectors.” Reminding that his late father Sani Konukoglu’s phrase; “customer teaches the job”, Konukoglu expressed: “We would like you to give us your feedback so that we can always do better and you can present better works. We are happy to be in constant communication with you without time constraints. Because we are a solution-oriented company.”
In his speech, Konukoğlu said: “Neither you nor the contractor nor our contractor owns the building you built. We all own it. We should do the best together.”
Cimko Cimento ve Beton Sanayi Ticaret A.S. General Manager Cenker Mirzaoglu expressed that in cement and ready-mixed concrete sector, they have been successful in customer-oriented projects for more than 25 years. Mirzaoglu sustained his statements:
“As Cimko, we are getting closer to you by constantly growing on our journey in 1995. We offer you products and services with two integrated factories, two packaging plants and 20 ready-mixed concrete plants. We will present the products and services, which you provide for your life by projecting, on the site during our visit. As a growing family, I would like to state one more time that we are pleased to see you all among us.”

Underlining that nowadays, especially with the use of chemical and mineral additives in concrete, high strength concrete is produced, Cimko Ready Mixed Concrete Technical Operations Director Mustafa Demirci said: “Good concrete is durable, impermeable concrete that can maintain its physical and chemical integrity against the environmental impacts along with its loads during its service life.”
In his presentation, Regional Director of Cimko Ready-Mixed Concrete Mediterranean, Irfan Coskun talked about the effects of cost increases in cement and ready-mixed concrete on the cost of housing building. Coskun noted that the construction sector, which emerged as a result of the need for shelter today, became one of the dynamos in today’s economic conditions and that ready-mixed concrete is an indispensable building material in developed countries.
Cimko Cimento Technical Director Fatih Aktas said: “All automation systems have been installed in our plant and are controlled from the central monitoring room. We create sustainable working conditions by providing investment and training opportunities for our employees.”
The program ended with the presentation of plaques to Cimko Cimento General Manager Cenker Mirzaoglu by Gaziantep Branch Chairman Gokhan Celikturk.
