Sanko Holding’s cement and concrete company Çimko has been included in the global CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) A List, the highest evaluation level, in both the Climate Change and Water Security programs—internationally recognized environmental reporting platforms. With this achievement, Çimko has internationally validated its strong performance and firm commitment to sustainability in the areas of climate action, water management, and transparent reporting.
Commenting on this success, Çimko CEO Dr. Önder Kırca stated: “At Çimko, we view sustainability not merely as a target, but as a fundamental responsibility that lies at the core of our operations. Being included in the CDP A List in the Climate Change and Water Security categories in our first year of reporting demonstrates that the concrete steps we have taken in carbon, energy, and water management, as well as our long-term sustainability vision, are recognized at an international level. In the coming period, we will continue to strengthen this approach, which addresses environmental and social impact together, and focus on creating lasting value.”
Çimko conducts its climate and water management efforts with a focus on reducing carbon emissions, enhancing energy efficiency, and responsible use of natural resources. By increasing the use of alternative fuels and raw materials in its production processes, the company reduces carbon intensity through practices aimed at lowering the clinker ratio, while managing its environmental impacts through water recovery and rehabilitation initiatives.
