Water, which is a natural source of life, is now facing serious problems due to global warming and rapid population growth. At this point, protecting water resources and managing its sustainable use has become a global responsibility. As Çimsa, we decided to make a systematic study regarding the water resources that are diminishing day-by-day due to the ever-increasing demand. By 2016, we have succeeded in reducing our water consumption by 23% and we have obtained ISO 14046 Water Footprint Certificate which is valid internationally. “Emphasizing the importance of acting with a proactive approach to the factors affecting the global climate change, Özhatay said, “We believe that it is possible to increase productivity and quality by carrying out studies to reduce water consumption. For this purpose, we are aiming to be both sectoral and exemplary for our country by accelerating our work on reducing production footprint by improving the production based consumption calculations we are working on. “
