Çimsa attended the World of Concrete 2017, which was held in Las Vegas from January 17-20. The World of Concrete (WOC) 2017 – dubbed the first and the most important international building and construction fair of the year – witnessed to Çimsa’s wide range of products under the title “Name of the Formula.” Çimsa’s innovative products and services aimed at the U.S. market attracted a great deal of attention at the fair.
Çimsa, a leading cement and building materials producer at home and abroad, attended the World of Concrete 2017 – an international building and construction fair that has been hosting a great number of leading construction companies and boasting the highest number of visitors in its field since 1975. The fair provided Çimsa with the opportunity to promote its special types of white and calcium aluminate cement products to leading construction sector players under the title “Name of the Formula”. Çimsa’s innovative product groups released under the brands Rego, Refro, Resisto, Recipro, Crafta, Motiva, and Super White drew great attention at the fair, which provided the masses with innovative sector products, construction machines and equipment, safety training classes, new technologies, and unlimited amount of network opportunities from all over the world.
Çimsa, which has been making a difference in the cement and building materials sector for the last 45 years, attended the fair with its Sales and Marketing staff working on R&D studies, as well as white cement and exclusive products. Çimsa officials promoted their products one by one at their stand, which attracted a great deal of attention from the fair visitors.
“At Çimsa, we have been meeting the white cement need of over 60 countries from the seven continents of the world thanks to our extensive logistics network. Our products recognized for their high quality in international markets are drawing intense interest,” Çimsa General Manager Nevra Özhatay said. Özhatay also stated that this intense demand paved the way for an investment in Eskişehir. She said that this investment which cost about $55 million is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2017. “This investment will increase Çimsa’s white cement production capacity from 1.2 million metric tons to 1.6 million metric tons. If we take into consideration that a total of 25 million metric tons of white cement is produced in the world and that its overseas trade amounts to 5 million metric tons, we see that our white cement capacity which will increase thanks to our Eskişehir investment will take us to a very important position in the global market. At Çimsa, we export 75 percent of our white cement production and thus boast the highest market share in international trade. We will further strengthen this position with domestic and international investments. In addition to producing in Turkey and exporting to foreign countries, we are also able to supply our customers’ desired products at their desired time from all our seven terminals thanks to our overseas network. Even in markets where we do not have a terminal structuring, we provide our customers with many products and services also in a complete and timely manner by using the most efficient logistics channels,” Özhatay added.
