While Turkey is still taking the first place in Europe and the fourth place throughout the world in cement production, Kilis Çimento is progressing at a great pace in the path of becoming the bright star of Southeast Anatolia.
Gaziantep Cement Plant was acquired by Limak Kurtalan Çimento in the result of the tender opened by Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) in 2006. Now, this plant is already demonstrating its glowing value in Kilis which is the new address of Kilis Çimento.
In the facility, the turnkey construction of which is initiated by SINTEK, it is targeted that the daily production of 5 thousand tons of cement will be realized.
While civil works for crusher, preheater, farin group, rotary kiln, clinker cooling, clinker stoke hole, admixture and coal stoke hole, coal mill building were completed in the period until March, 2019 within scope of the works, totally 58 thousand 662 cubic meters of concrete casting was performed.
The completed works include vertical farin mill with 400 ton/hour capacity, dual rotor raw material crusher with 600 ton/hour capacity, farin-kiln system filter with 900 thousand m3/hour capacity and clinker cooling electrofilter (Electrostatic Precipitator) with 600 thousand m3/hourcapacity. Besides that, welding tests of the installed kilnwhich has a capacity of 5000 ton/day have been completed.
Limak Kilis Cement Plant Will Vitalize the Economy of the Region
Civil works progressing at a great pace, 2250 tons of steel construction and 6 thousand 500 tons of mechanical installation have been realized at Limak Kilis Cement Plant by the end of March. While a great deal of the plant has been completed by March, installation works for IKN clinker cooling unit and 40 ton/hour capacity coal mill are ongoing.
Foundation of which has been laid in 1957 and commenced its operations in 1961, Gaziantep Cement Plant has vital significance for the economy of the region as one of the first heavy industry organizations of Turkey and Southeast Anatolia Region. Expected to become an important center for employment for Kilis when completed, the plant aims to supply for the cement demand of Southeast Anatolia Region and also export cement to the countries in the Middle East.
