After the IDAI cyclone in Mozambique, a South African country, the support came from Limak Mozambique; Limak Cement Group’s factory in Africa. Limak Mozambique sent 2-truck-aid packages to be distributed to the families to meet the basic needs after the disaster which caused 600 people to lose their lives and affected nearly 2 million people. The trucks, including food supplies to meet the needs of a family for about 15 days, were sent to Beira Province of Mozambique, to be delivered to families.
The delivery ceremony organized for aid supplies at the Limak Cimentos Mozambique facility took place with the participation of Mozambique Ambassador Zeynep Kiziltan.
Whole World Banding
Together Making explanations related to this issue, Limak Cimentos Facility Director Seyit Orhan Baydar emphasized that the whole world bands together when there is a need for help and said: “As Limak, we are operating in Mozambique for almost 3 years. Here, we aim not only to do business, but also to live together in joy and suffering, to carry Mozambique industry forward with our experience, to contribute to education through social responsibility projects. Right after the disaster in Beira, we also started to work. We have sent 2 trucks of aid supplies to the region to supply the food and hygiene materials that the victims need first. We hope that these assistance will contribute to the people affected by the disaster in the region.”
