Limak Cement has once again demonstrated its sustainability performance at the international level by receiving an A score in Climate Change and an A- score in Water Security under the 2025 assessment results announced by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), one of the world’s leading environmental reporting platforms.
With these results, Limak Cement succeeded in entering the CDP Climate A List, ranking among the companies implementing best practices in climate action within the cement sector. In 2025, only 4% of companies reporting to CDP were able to qualify for this list.
Participating in the CDP program since 2022—which aims to ensure transparent reporting of companies’ environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities, particularly in climate change and water security—Limak Cement has steadily improved its performance in both areas. According to the latest results, the company achieved an improvement of four levels in the climate change category and three levels in water security within a two-year period.
Commenting on the achievement, Limak Cement Global CEO Erkam Kocakerim stated: “Being included in the CDP Climate A List is a clear indication that Limak Cement approaches climate action as a long-term transformation area. The level we have reached today demonstrates not only our current performance, but also the soundness of the strategic steps we have taken towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and resilient industrial model. In the coming period, we aim to further enhance our environmental performance and expand practices that set a benchmark in our sector.”
Through its strong performance on globally recognized platforms such as CDP, Limak Cement aims to lead the sectoral transformation towards low-carbon and responsible production and to sustain this success over the long term.
