Limak Cement has gained the right to receive the “C” Awareness Score within the framework of the CDP Climate Change Program, which it participated in for the first time this year.
There are 3 main programs in which climate change, water and forest risks are evaluated annually, within the body of CDP, a non-profit organization established to carry out a global declaration system so that investors, companies, states, and regions can manage their environmental impacts. Limak Cement Group reported its data on climate change for the 2020 period through this platform, and a result of the evaluations made within this scope, the Group received a “C-Awareness” score in the CDP Climate Change Program, in which it participated for the first time.
The Climate Change Program, which tries to make the fight against climate change sustainable around the world, has been run by CDP since 2002, an institution that makes environmental data transparent and places it within the reach of business decision-making mechanisms.
The Group, which will continue to report on climate change in the coming years, also aims to be included in the CDP’s water program.
