Medcem Mining, a subsidiary of Medcem Cement, which is the largest cement producer of Türkiye and Europe, has implemented a significant investment set to add substantial value to the sector. The Medcem Mining R&D and Innovation Center, which brings together expertise, innovative technology, and a sustainability-driven vision across the mining-to-cement value chain, has been inaugurated.
Located in Silifke/Taşucu, the center represents a first in the sector, focusing on the efficient use of natural resources, solutions that reduce carbon emissions, and the development of next-generation materials.
The Medcem Mining R&D and Innovation Center aims to shape the future by investing in scientific research, fostering innovative thinking, and implementing sustainable production methods. The center develops production techniques that minimize environmental impact, enhances efficiency in energy and raw material usage, and works on innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions, contributing to the acceleration of green transformation in the industry. Additionally, it aims to develop next-generation materials and integrate them into industrial applications.
