Leading the sustainability-focused transformation of Turkish cement sector, OYAK Cement has added another achievement to its record. At the Sustainability Leaders Awards, organized for the third time this year by InBusiness Magazine, which recognizes institutions inspiring a sustainable future, OYAK Cement was among the award-winning organizations.
The distinguished jury, composed of representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and editors of InBusiness Magazine, carefully reviewed the sustainability reports and tangible outcomes of approximately 200 companies. Based on this evaluation, OYAK Cement was honored with this prestigious award for its “High-Performance Low-Emission Products” portfolio and its ambitious commitments to reducing emissions per ton of cement produced.

At the ceremony, the award was accepted on behalf of OYAK Cement by Galip Tekiner, Director of Alternative Resources and Environment, who highlighted the vital importance of sustainable production for Turkish industry: “As OYAK Cement, we are delighted that our initiatives, driven by our vision of becoming ‘Türkiye’s most environmentally friendly cement brand,’ are recognized on such a valued platform. Sectoral Leadership and Corporate Success
This achievement of OYAK Cement has also been validated by other prestigious sectoral rankings announced throughout the year. The company ranked 43rd in the “Türkiye’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises 2024” report by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), maintaining its status as the only cement brand on the list. Additionally, it secured the Capital 500 industry leadership it has held since 2021 for the fourth consecutive year. OYAK Cement was also recognized in the construction sector at the 8th Platinum Global 100 Awards, organized under the theme “Impact Economy”.
