Cemblend Ltd, a company specializing in customized cement blends, has played a key role in promoting Hoffmann Green’s zero-clinker cements in the UK and Ireland since 2022. The initial distribution agreement revealed significant interest in Hoffmann Green’s innovative solutions from the UK market. Building on this success, the two partners are taking their collaboration further in a market where the demand for sustainable construction materials is rapidly increasing.
The licensing agreement, signed in exchange for industrial and technological transfer, includes entry fees of up to 2 million euros, as well as fixed and variable annual royalties based on the revenues from the trade of Hoffmann cements and premixed products. The production units to be established by the partner in the UK will help meet the growing demand for sustainable materials and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions in the UK and Ireland’s construction sectors.
Julien Blanchard and David Hoffmann, the founders of Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, expressed their pride in strengthening the partnership with Cemblend Ltd. through this strategic licensing agreement. They stated, “This reflects the growing international interest in our solutions and aligns with our vision of transforming the construction industry in the long term. By strengthening our presence in a key European market, we are solidifying our position as a key player and continuing our mission to reduce global carbon emissions in the construction industry.”
Thomas Atkinson, the International Director of Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, commented, “2024 is an important year for Hoffmann Green’s international development. After signing a strategic partnership in the United States and strengthening our presence in Saudi Arabia, this new licensing agreement offers exciting new opportunities in the European market.”
Matthew Cunningham and Simon Boulter, Directors of Cemblend Ltd., evaluated the agreement by saying, “This licensing agreement marks an important step for Cemblend Ltd., offering the opportunity to directly produce and market Hoffmann cements in the UK and Ireland. With their excellent technical performance, these low-carbon cements provide a perfect response to the growing demand for eco-friendly materials in the UK. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Hoffmann Green and contributing to the sustainable transformation of the construction sector in the UK and Ireland with the construction of new production facilities.”
This strategic agreement will help reduce carbon emissions in the construction sector in the UK and Ireland and lead the way in the widespread adoption of sustainable construction solutions, in line with the shared vision of Cemblend Ltd. and Hoffmann Green.
