Akçansa, one of Turkey’s leading construction material companies, achieved a turnover of 1.1 billion TL over the first nine months of this year, according to its consolidated income statement prepared as of September 30, 2016 and the period’s financial results. The company’s profit for the period January – September 2016 grew by 7% compared to the same period last year, reaching 234 million TL.
Akçansa General Manager Umut Zenar stated that the company became a business partner in many important mega projects shaping the future of Turkey and said that the financial results also prove this success. “We achieved the highest amount of production over the first nine months during which we focused on operational efficiency. Thanks to our efficient logistics and terminal management, we reached the highest amount of domestic sales and total sales tonnage over the first nine months enjoying record sales. We are the solution partner for many infrastructure investments, which include Istanbul’s third bridge in particular, that help develop Turkey. Our 100+Concrete product developed for the project Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge became a part of the world literature. We received the ‘Excellence Award’ at the Concrete Construction Contest organized by the American Concrete Institute (ACI). We are very proud of having received this award.
