Paris, July 27, 2012 – This July, Fives FCB, a subsidiary of the Fives Group, acquired
the business portfolio of CLE, Groupe Technip France, the specialist cement plant
division of the Technip Group. This acquisition marks a new stage in the development
and growth of Fives FCB, and makes a major contribution to strengthening its position
in the Services market.
For more than 40 years, the CLE, Groupe Technip France division has been a recognized
force in the cement industry, and has completed installation and revamping projects for many
cement manufacturer customers. More recently, it has been involved in major revamping
projects in France, Poland, Spain, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey and Brazil. The many facilities
developed by the CLE, Groupe Technip France Division worldwide have now joined the
installed base of Fives FCB, contributing nearly 80 additional reference sites around the
world.
This acquisition strengthens the presence of Fives FCB in many of its existing regions, at the
same time as extending the range of services it offers the cement industry, especially in
burning line upgrades, maintenance services and spare parts, and opening up new
opportunities in Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.
