Orkun Group has been recently increasing the number of its Mercedes-Benz vehicles in its fleet and the latest addition to this list are 25 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4145 K vehicles, which were received by the company managers during a ceremony held at Mercedes-Benz Turkey Marketing Center. Orkun Group managers, who called the new agreement made between Mercedes-Benz Turkey and Orkun Group an agreement adding to their longestablished relationship, announced that the group will use these new vehicles particularly in the construction of Third Airport. With this latest vehicle purchase, the number of Orkun Group’s Mercedes-Benz construction vehicles added to the company fleet in 2016 increased to 53 .
The group received 25 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4145 K doubledrive dump trucks all of which were manufactured at Aksaray Truck Factory. The ceremony held at Mercedes- Benz Turkey Marketing Center was attended by Orkun Group Board Chairman İlhan Karadeniz; Orkun Group officials; Mercedes-Benz Turkey Authorized Dealer Has Automotive’s Board Chairman Latif Karaali; Has Automotive officials; Truck & Bus Marketing and Sales Group Director and Mercedes-Benz Turkey Directors Board President Süer Sülün; Mercedes-Benz Turkey Truck Marketing and Sales Manager Bahadır Özbayır; and Mercedes-Benz Turkey officials.
Orkun Group Board Chairman İlhan Karadeniz emphasized that the main reasons behind why they chose these vehicles were the durability and fuel economy of the new generation construction vehicles boasting the Euro 6 fuel standard, as well as the Mercedes-Benz’s extensive service network and spare part availability. Karadeniz also underlined that their long-established and trusted cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Turkey has always been very valuable to them. Orkun Group aims to increase both its sector power and business volume with this huge investment. The purchase of 53 vehicles in 2016 under a cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Turkey increased the number of Orkun Group’s overall Mercedes- Benz vehicles to 202. Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4145 K
Arocs construction vehicles including dump beds, mixers, and pumps are used in construction yards and pickling sites, as well as in carrying ready-mixed concrete. Boasting an enhanced durability, the new chassis adds to the power of the truck thanks to its continuous hole profile allowing various upper vehicle elements to be easily assembled. Arocs 4145 K, which was designed to have a dump bed, offers confidence and comfort to its driver when going up and down hills in difficult construction conditions thanks to its strong foot and engine brakes. The Servotwin steering system with dual circuit gives its driver confidence and offers an ease of use on narrow roads which require a capa-bility to maneuver. In addition to its weight package covering a maximum load amount of 44 metric tons, Arocs 4145 K also offers a twin disc clutch system and parabolic rear springs, as well as back differential axles boasting a capacity of 16 metric tons and an improved gear ratio. And all of these come without the need to make an extra payment.
