Continuing its activities for the efficient use of resources, Akçansa continues to be rewarded for its sustainability-oriented efforts. Akçansa Çanakkale Plant successfully completed the independent audit conducted by the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s Quality Assurance System Commercial Enterprise (KGS) and renewed its Responsible Sourcing Certificate issued by the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) at the gold level.
Being the first plant in Turkiye and the sixth in the world to be awarded with the gold certificate in 2020, Akçansa Çanakkale Plant renewed its certificate at the same level and crowned its success. Stating that they continue to work with the principle of ‘Responsible work for the future’ in all regions where they operate, Akçansa General Manager Vecih Yılmaz said that they are pleased to be awarded at international standards for their sustainability-oriented work. Yılmaz continued as follows; “We aim to contribute to the fight against climate change on a regional and global scale with our responsible use of resources and efficiency approach. The fact that we renewed our gold level certificate with the work we have carried out in line with our business model that puts responsibility at the center also sets an important example of success. In the coming period, we will continue our efforts to contribute to a sustainable future by acting on the same basic principle.”
