New names have been appointed to the companies Akçansa and Çimsa – both of which operate under Sabancı Holding Industry Group Presidency. Şahap Sarıer, who was previously acting as the Deputy Sales General Manager at Çimsa, has been appointed as the General Manager of Akçansa.
Among other names assigned to new posts are Tülin Şağul, who was previously acting as the Planning, Reporting, and Finance Director at Sabancı Holding and now became the Financial Coordinator at Akçansa, Caner Türkyener, who was previously acting as the Çimsa Central Anatolia Sales Director (Kayseri, Niğde) and now became the Deputy General Manager at Çimsa (Ready- Mixed Concrete), and Cem Talay, who was previously acting as the Central Anatolia Sales Director (Eskişehir, Ankara, Afyon) and now became the Deputy General Manager (Grey Cement Sales and Marketing). In addition, Steffen Schebesta was assigned to the position of Deputy Finance General Manager at Akçansa.
Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu, Industry Group President at Sabancı Holding, made a statement regarding the matter. “At Sabancı Holding, we believe that our most valuable asset is our human resources and, with this in mind, we pay a great deal of attention to train our own employees to become our future managers. In this way, we make sure that our company progresses towards our common goals together with our colleagues who embrace the Sabancı culture and see innovation, sustainability, and excellence from the same perspective with us. We acted in accordance with this very understanding when assigning new people within the Industry Group. We appointed Şahap Sarıer, who has been working in our group for over 20 years, to be Akçansa General Manager. In addition, we also strengthened our organization at Akçansa and Çimsa with our managers who climbed the career ladder in our company. I wish all our colleagues success in their new jobs,” Hacıkamiloğlu said.
ŞAHAP SARIER
Şahap Sarıer graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University in 1993 and completed his Executive MBA at Sabancı University in 2001. Şahap Sarıer joined our group in 1995. From 1995-2004, he worked at Betonsa as a Civil Engineer,
the Chief of Operations, and the Regional Manager respectively and from 2004-2006 as the Company Manager at Karçimsa. After 2006, he started to work at Çimsa as the Ready-Mix Concrete Aggregate Deputy General Manager, Cement Production Deputy General Manager, and Grey Cement Deputy General Manager respectively. Finally, he was working as the Grey Cement Sales & Marketing Deputy General Manager before he was appointed as Akçansa General Manager.
