The crisis, which started from the USA in 2008 and spread all over the world, had devastating effects on production and employment. Although more than 10 years have passed since the crisis, the manufacturing industry has not been able to overcome these effects. In line with the increasing external debt burden, unemployment, low-wage and unqualified employment structure, the decline in industrial and agricultural production continues. While all this was coming, the Corona Virus, which appeared in Wuhan, China, started to hit a deep blow on the economies of interconnected countries.
On average, 20 percent of the industrial product produced on a global scale comes from China. Countries with purchasing offices in China and nearby regions have begun to search for new and reliable sources due to the recent epidemic and economic conditions! Considering the need for short aircraft travel and the regions that are the focal point of the quality that can be easily communicated in terms of advanced technique and language; Turkey has a remarkable advantage in this regard in the decisions taken has become an alternative for many companies / regions.
The manufacturing sector and automative side industry in Turkey is well developed in terms of quality and speed because of general expectations, and this advantage is to offer a structure that provides passage to main supplier position when combined with the quick action and y and compliance capabilities. As a result of the investments made or to be made in the country, a manufacturing sector has emerged that can quickly respond to the global needs of European companies. Progress in technology can also help identify the country as a resource where firms can get all the support.
Companies with factories in China, is working on product quality and communication problems in their Chinese supplies by ordering precision products from Turkey. Directly working with Turkey and grasping the positive impact created by the effective labourforce and experienced and solution-oriented staff in the country will be one of the most profitable method of doing business in short and long term.
Turkish manufacturing and related sectors are at a strategic point and experience to obtain the market that China has lost. Rather than replacing China, the main goal here is to become a supply source that adapts to new products and technologies by increasing the know-how by continuing with the efforts required to obtain and increase the share of the market.
At the point reached, being preferred in important and time-indexed projects is to become one of the main links in the supply chain thanks to advancing technology and portfolio. Turkey will be particularly and alternative to China and will reach a preferable point. Europe based companies will check their productions in Turkey located in a closer distance and will use them in their global organizations / factories and will be able to achieve optimum cost and quality solutions as requested.
