The Covid-19 pandemic has profoundly affected the world, in terms of both health and economy. What are your general views on the effects of the pandemic?
The pandemic, which affected the whole world even in a period when technology was advancing very fast in the 21st century, have shown us that the mankind should actually change its habits and create a mechanism that primarily consumes less and leaves lesser burden on the nature.
In addition to the social and economic effects experienced in the initial phase, the effects of the pandemic on the country’s economies in the medium and long term will be more clearly seen in the future.
For companies, we think that we are sailing to a world where organizational structures that can keep pace with change and take quick action will come to the fore.
How have you been affected by this pandemic as a company? Have there been any changes in your goals in terms of turnover, sales, exports etc.?
As a company that produces solutions and provides engineering services in the industrial field, our main investment is our human resources. Since the priority action of our company is the health and safety of our employees and customers, we have decided to stop our field services until we complete the necessary safety measures and also till the period with the most intense pandemic risk has passed.
As part of the necessary safety measures, we have gradually returned to our field services.
In this period, we managed to make decisions that enable us to survive with the least impact, with our financially strong infrastructure and our management style that allows us to take fast action.
In the continuation of the successful 2019, we had entered 2020 with a similar picture. With the power we got from all of these, we decided not to change our 2020 targets. In these challenging periods, we continue to draw a positive chart thanks to the strong communication we have with both our suppliers and customers.
We did not interrupt our development planning by continuing our technical training for our colleagues online during this period.
How will be the new situation in the rest of the year and how will the sector be affected?
The uncertainty that we had experienced will inevitably lead to more cautious investment planning in all companies. We think that investment plans will progress slowly until the 4th quarter of the year, especially since the duration of the pandemic cannot be predicted.
Considering that self-sufficient economies will strengthen in this difficult process, production facilities can be expected to enter a more intense working process than before. Since the audits will also have a great impact on the investment decisions of the companies, the decisions of the authorized institutions will also be important.
What kind of restructuring and a process do you foresee as a company after Covid-19?
Since our main goal in the Covid-19 pandemic process is the safety and health of our employees and customers, this will be our priority in all decisions we make in the future.
In addition to our field services that we have returned, we plan to focus on our sales and customer-focused visits by following the positive development of the process.
We will continue our search for human resources after the pandemic and we will keep on improving our restructuring. In order to keep up with the change of technology, especially in the fields of technical and sales, we will follow our plans within the framework of the needs in terms of the products and services that we offer.
We shall adapt the remote working method that we have learned together during the pandemic to our operation in a way that will enable us to work more efficiently in our future works and we will continue to focus on the use of online platforms in internal and external communications. In order to convey our knowledge to our customers, we are planning new medium and long-term structuring.
