2021 was really an extraordinary year. After 2020, which was overwhelmed with the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic, which swept world markets, locking the families in their homes and forcing the businesses to close down due to curfew; 2021 witnessed the emergence of safe and effective vaccines and refreshment of consumers’ confidence.
Nevertheless, this revival in consumer demand has led to various disruptions, abnormalities and record breaking prices in certain markets due to the structural constraints and production gaps that COVID-19 has caused. Also, increase of freight costs and bottlenecks in ports around all over the world have resulted in further price increases along with delays and distressed supply chains.
