With our ability to respond quickly and flexibly to special requests from our customers, 2019 was a year in which we followed technological developments more closely and gained added value on a sector basis with special solutions and products for different geographies. As you know, we have experienced economic fluctuations throughout the world for the past 2 years. In this period, we have increased our production numbers in 2019 to the same extent in 2018, by implementing different market researches we have foreseen with our future perspective and continued our efforts in the shrinking market in 2019. The most important point in the absence of any loss during the period of the economic conjuncture is the successful studies and market researches that we carried out before. We’ve added new geographies to our portfolio as a result of the relevant studies and we slid our position in Turkey axis to a more export oriented manner and maintained 80% of our capacity as foreign market share.
Our priority is R&D studies
We have always been in search of innovation with our curious structure and excitement to get better since the day we were founded. By giving priority to R&D activities every period; as a result of our computer-aided product development efforts, we were entitled to obtain an R&D license supported by the state fund, by providing 100% of the projects we have developed with the turnover we obtained from both the products we produce and the sustainable export added value we provide. With OKT Trailer, Curiosity Centre (R & D Centre), we have been one of the few companies in the vehicle equipment and trailer industry in Turkey. Within the scope of our R&D studies; we produced the first Shining Star product in Turkey which is rare in the world and ADR certified and approved by tank renovation projects in accordance with the SASO standards which has been announced by ARAMCO company, one of the biggest oil producers of the globe. With our different projects carried out within our R&D studies, we continue our efforts to be among the world’s leading brands in the industry.”
The trailer model of the future will be showcased for the first time in 2020 IAA
We are curious about everything about technology. The most important basis of our strong position in the world market is that our R&D studies and our products are innovative designs. 2020 will be a year where technology speaks, where more practical, more ergonomic designs will be at the forefront, and innovation is more important. We also work towards the future to meet technological developments and even take action beforehand, and develop our products in accordance with changing technology. With the changing and renewed technology, we are moving towards the period when smart trailers developed with the remote manageable IoT will be produced. Curiosity Centre, which takes its name from curiosity, we form the infrastructure for the studies required to apply this technology in our R&D centre. The first output of our related work was to change the fashion of the trailer. We will produce the trailer model of the future with our product in the tank / silo group we designed. Our unprecedented, highly ambitious special design product, which prioritizes user ergonomics, will be on display for the first time in the world’s largest commercial vehicles fair, IAA 2020 Hannover.
