Despite it had started as an election year in our country and in a political turmoil for the world, 2019 has been a year in which industrialists accelerated their business activities and continued to consolidate their future strategies with technology as a moderately calm conjuncture was formed particularly in the second half. Ministry of Industry, TUSIAD, and many Industry 4.0 and digital factory, informing and awareness-raising bodies, which as Qualist Technology, we support as a “knowhow” partner, performed valuable guiding works for Turkish industry making precise and fruitful technology investments. Informed digitalization steps will make Turkish industry competitive. Qualist conducts special works for creating value in its every project as a “know-how” transfer partner.
What are the developments of your company in this year, such as investments, new products, launchings, etc.?
It was an exciting year for all of our products as was for Qualist Bridge and AR (Augmented Reality)
products. It was a year of launching particularly for Qualist MES (Manufacturing Execution System) product, a pioneer which is renewed with its infrastructure compatible with enhanced data analytic. With this opportunity, new Qualist MES has been installed in numerous industrial facilities from Gebze to Central Anatolia, from Istanbul to England, and digitalized production management processes thereof resulting in saving them from paper-form work orders and Excel reports lost in e-mails. Instead, it caused them to evolve such management systems based on real and historical
digital data.
In general, what are your expectations in 2020? What are your targets and general strategies for this year?
Wayne Gretzky, an football player, had said; “You should run whereto the ball to land, not where it is.” As Qualist Technology, we believe that the future will be caught up with the steps we take today. Therefore, we will strive to coming together with those industrial enterprises and the visionary teams thereof who believe that catching up with the future is with the steps to be taken today. We will reinforce the digital roadmap of Turkish industry and its organizational memory firstly by digitizing the data we gather from factories with the power we attained from our R&D studies. Afterwards, we will provide our support for taking correct decisions by means of vital digital reports, dashboards, and data visualization as verbalization of such digital data. Finally, we will become the most important partner enterprise in formation of Turkish industry, managing not only today, but the future as well, with such modules of predictive maintenance and estimation for the outcomes of any decision reached by enterprises.
What sectorial developments do you expect this year?
We envisage two different types of factories in the digitalization process of Turkish industry. Both types of enterprises are at different levels understanding even if they are aware of the importance of digitalization. The first type is those enterprises going on to complete their infrastructure for automation and data collection in the data digitalization stage. The second type is those enterprises, having completed digitalization of data, supporting their managerial decision making systems with higher-level estimation and augmented reality tools. Qualist Technology will ensure that businesses at both levels become an integral part of the processes of the right, profitable and target-oriented business as a digital know-how partner.
