We have started a new year at Tuna Tartı ve Elektronik Sistemler A.Ş. As every year, 2021 was also a year of growth for our company. I can say that we have achieved our targets in each quarter of 2021. We especially read and follow the developments in the global economy and in our country closely. We were proactively prepared for the currency fluctuations at the end of the year. And we have started our new investments that will approximately take 2 and a half years. We have completed the agreements for our second factory to be established in Izmir. This factory will be 7,000 square meter big and use robot welding technologies. As a company, we continue our projects on a global and national level. There is something I always say: “Do not focus on the size of the storm of wave but only on going on.” Because there will always be turbulent times in the economy. We always try to do the best within the given conditions.
The transition to the Chinese economy model will increase the demand for domestic production
I think that the process that started with Covid-19 will continue to be on the agenda in 2022 as it continued in 2021. Breakdowns and transformations in the global economy greatly affect companies. We are going through a period in which economic wars of countries, especially globally, have started. Moves and decisions taken one after another have shaken the whole system. As a result of our transition to the Chinese economy model, I believe that that the demand for domestic production will increase, and companies will tend to export more. In this regard, we continue to open up to new markets with our contact points and offices that we have
established in the world in recent years. We have 7 locations in Turkey and 9 worldwide. I can say that the naming of the new economic model will mark the year 2021. Fluctuations in the exchange rate have undoubtedly increased our input costs. The pandemic has changed our familiar work habits. I can say that we have easily adapted to this change in terms of institution and personnel.
As Tuna Global we have 5 group companies, 1 foundation and above all one great team. Tuna Tartı, Tuna Academy, Tuna Energy, Kantar Burada, Tuna CRM, and our foundation Tuna Vakıf. As Tuna Tartı and Elektronik Sistemler we met our quarterly targets in 2021 and have even exceeded them. Across Turkey, especially our regional directorates of Tuna İstanbul, Tuna Ankara, Tuna Bursa, Tuna Konya, and Tuna Adana have succeeded in exceeding their goals. Success does not really mean reaching the goal. Success must be defined another way. Success is the gain, knowledge, experience,and accumulation gained while going towards the goal. We celebrated exceeding our goal with our team. We have entered 2022 with much greater and stronger targets.

We organize the short-term and long-term plans of Tuna Tartı ve Elektronik Sistemleri and other companies on a quarterly basis. We want to complete the investment of our second factory by 50% by the end of this year. With constant personnel trainings we aim to continue the services we provide to our customers. We have made the agreements and finished the supply for all our raw-material needs for 2022. This year we will again continue to increase our capacity. With our new and innovative products, we will support this growth in shrinking markets. We have introduced new products to the market. Our 6S works are continuing. We continue to add technical personnel to the service staff of our regional directorates throughout Turkey. As of January 2022, our Black Sea Regional Directorate became operational. Now we serve at 7 locations in Turkey. Compared to 2021, we have a growth target of 35%. Like every year, I think that we will reach our targets this year as well.
