Approximately 200 people and TÇMB (Turkish Cement Manufactures’ Association) participated the İzmir High Technology Institute’s “Concrete Roads Seminar” which was organized by Batıçim. At the seminar Batıçim Batı Anadolu Cement Industry Inc. Assistant General Manager Feyyaz Ünal made the opening speech and then made the presentation of “Concrete Roads and Their Advantages”. Ünal explained the usage and benefits of concrete roads in the world and Turkey. METU Civil Engineering Department Head Professor Dr. İsmail Özgür Yaman emphasized the advantages of roller compacted cocncrete Roads in his presentation “Why Concrete Road”.
İsmail Bulut the CEO of Turkish Cement Manufactures’ Association made the closing speech and mentioned from porous concrete’s importance in the cities preventing from floods and fire.
