Cement Industry Employers’ Association (CEIS) held the first of “Cement Industry – Labor Law Meetings” with the attendance of the industry and industry stakeholders. Convened to discuss and evaluate the legal developments and judicial judgments with respect to the current topics in cement industry, the meeting discussed the “Sub-Contracting” and “Job Security” topics. The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Mr. Suat Çalbıyık, CEIS Chairman, and Mr. Zekeriye Nazlım, President of T. Çimse-İş Association.
Organized in two sessions, the first session of the meeting was moderated by Prof. Dr. Levent Akın, Member of Faculty of Law of Ankara University, where the sub-contracting and related problems in practice were discussed by Mr. Mehmet Çamur, Head of 9th Civil Department of Court of Cassation and Prof. Dr. Nurşen Caniklioğlu, Member of Faculty of Law of Marmara University, as speakers.
The second session discussed the job security and related problems in the practice under the moderation of Prof. Dr. Ömer Ekmekçi, Member of Faculty of Law of Istanbul University. As speakers, Mr. Seracettin Göktaş, Head of 22nd Civil Department of Court of Cassation and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ercüment Özkaraca, Member of Faculty of Law of Marmara University attended the session.
“Cement Industry – Labor Law Meetings” will continue to be organized to discuss then-current topics of the industry.
