Making an assessment regarding this topic, Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association Chairman Dr. Tamer Saka expressed that “The Turkish cement industry started 2020 hopefully after 2019, when it contracted by about 30%. While the reduction in domestic sales ended in January 2020, exports increased in March. However, sales are expected to decrease in the coming period due to the New Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has been experienced all over the world since the first months of the year. ”
Supporting the Turkish cement industry, which is the 2nd largest cement and clinker exporter in the world after Vietnam in 2019, in order to provide foreign currency inflow and future employment security for our country is more important than ever during these days.
