Çimsa, the leasing company of Turkish cement industry, made a great victory. Çimsa became champion of cement industry in the 2011 Export Champions Award Ceremony organized by Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TEA).
The strong performance shown last year by Çimsa, the leading company of Turkish cement and concrete industry sustains to win approval and awards. The Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Minister of Labor and Social Security Faruk Çelik and Minister of Economy Zafer Çağlayan attended to “2011 Turkish Export Champions Award Ceremony” organized in Rixos Hotel by TEA. In his speech at the ceremony; TEA President Mehmet Ekşioğlu reminded that Turkey achieved 135 billion export amount in 2011 and pointed out that “Proactive exporters of Turkey win great victories despite the negative economic conjuncture in the world”. The award was granted to Çimsa personally by the Minister of Economy Zafer Çağlayan. General Manager of Çimsa Mehmet Hacıkâmiloğlu evaluated the award with the following words: “Çimsa sustains its operations in line with the vision of “to become the most valuable cement and ready mixed concrete company of Turkey” and the mission of “to become the business partner preferred by international concrete and cement consumers”. Our terminals located in 6 countries abroad represent the most important feature that brought success to us in export. Such terminals are out overseas market know-how, logistic skills and experienced sales and production team. What lie behind the success we achieved in cement export this year are the pricing according to market conditions and our cement sale consisting of mostly special products such as white and calcium aluminate cement rather than the sales amount. We are happy that our business approach focusing on creating value for Turkey with innovative products and solutions was appreciated and our high performance was awarded. I received this award with a great proud on behalf of all Çimsa personnel and managers working in a team spirit”.
