2017 data was shared by Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association (TCMA). According to the data announced for the January-December period of 2017, about 9.9% of the produced cement was exported. While the total exports (cement + clinker) leader of 12-months period despite the decline was the USA and the country with the highest increase in exports was Haiti. This country was followed by Ghana and Sierra Leone.
On the other hand, TCMA participated in the 12th “CivilCon” event held on February 22-25, 2018 in Istanbul Technical University’s Ayazağa campus. The CivilCon’s annual event is organized by the Engineering Preparation Club. Technical, social and cultural events are organized in order to prepare civil engineers in the sector and to train qualified engineers. At the event of CivilCon which has been organizing since 2006 this year again the industry’s leading names shared their experiences and technical content knowledge with the participants.
