Bursa Concrete, which has put its mark under many first of its kind projects in the sector, believes that education is the basis for a safety culture. The company provides all of its employees with many training sessions on different subjects such as coordination and awareness in addition to legally required employment training, emergency training, and on-the-job training. We help our department managers receive official OHS expertise certificates and all the relevant expenses are covered by our company. We have three Class A certified and four Class C certified managers. We have been making the necessary action plans so as to increase this number by 2017. The OHS expertise service is received from an independent organization in order to avoid operational blindness.
Our company’s expert teams and executives examine in person the measures taken to eliminate hazardous situations in work environments and carry out the related risk assessments. In addition, our departments are supervised every month and checked to see whether they are aware of potential risks. We also organize an OHS week every year and make sure all of our employees are aware of how important this procedure is. We evaluate the performance of our departments and award them accordingly. In addition, our company also created a punishment system to ensure compliance with the rules. The employees who made a mistake are provided with the necessary training and if they insist on making the same mistake they are removed from the company.
Health checks are legally mandated to be carried out once every three years but our company performs these checks twice a year as it pays great attention to its employees’ health. Our company achieved another first of its kind project in its sector by preparing an occupational safety-themed film, which once again revealed the importance it gives to occupational health and safety.
