Aiming for excellence for the development of society and individuals, Martin’s mentality has given a start to an ambitious project once again. It launched the Organ Donation Campaign with the support of İstanbul Provincial Directorate of Health, Ümraniye District Directorate of Health , Northern Marmara Organ and Tissue Transplantation Coordination Center and İmes Industrial Estate Management.
Martin Engineering continues its social responsibility projects without giving a break. In recent months, employees from Martin have supported young people to receive education under better conditions, to participate in social and cultural activities that will improve their self-confidence and to look at the future with hope by running İstanbul Half-Marathon and making donations in the past . The company has now launched a new organ donation campaign.
Attracting close attention from press, it was agreed to implement the Organ Donation Campaign across all organized industrial estates. Thus, initiated under the leadership of Martin Engineering, 27,000 people waiting for organ transplants had their hopes restored with this project.
Making statements about the recently launched campaign, General Manager of Martin Engineering, İlker Tan pointed out that the desired level is not achieved in organ donations: “Unfortunately, organ donation has not yet received the desired attention in Turkey and the world. The reason for this is sometimes the lack of sufficient information, sometimes fears and sometimes beliefs. Our aim was to inform people and create awareness rather than signing up new donors. Organ donation is a sensitive matter. It is up to one’s own conscience and beliefs. As Martin Turkey, we are in an effort to raise awareness on this issue. We lit the fire. I would like to express my happiness that one out of every three employees of Martin Engineering donated all of their organs. We are also pleased that the campaigns will go on in other organized industrial estates.
Our sensitivity is towards doing the best that we can at every point of life. This is an element of our corporate culture. For example, repeated every year, our clean environment project was initiated by setting off from this philosophy. Our aim in this project is not to clean the environment, but to raise awareness that it is actually possible to have a clean environment by not causing pollution. Now the clean environment movement has become a project that is repeated every two months with the aim of making it sustainable. It is a project that we have initiated to make the environment we live in, a more livable place worthy of the modern world and its occupants with the increasing number of volunteers. It will continue to grow day by day like a snowball. We believe in this.”
