Hosted by Eskişehir Municipality and Young Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO), TÜRKÇİMENTO came together with Osmangazi University and Eskişehir Technical University civil engineering students to introduce the Roller Compacted Concrete pavement (RCC) application area on the Eskişehir Han District Gökçekuyu-Kayı-Yazılıkaya Neighborhood Road.
The training regarding the concrete road application connecting Eskişehir and Han district, where the Midas Monument (Yazılıkaya) one of the most important example of Phrygian Rock Façades today, is located, was greatly appreciated by the 80 participating students.
In the field activity hosted by Eskişehir Municipality and the Young Civil Engineers Chamber (IMO), TÜRKÇİMENTO officials gave information about the application and answered the questions of the students. TÜRKÇİMENTO officials, who stated that there are Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) road applications in 68 cities across Turkey, said that the initial construction cost of concrete roads, which are durable for 25 years, is more advantageous than that of existing roads, and that the durability rate is much higher in areas where vehicle with heavy loads pass.
