One of the leading building materials companies of Turkey, Akçansa announced its financial results of first-half of 2019. Accordingly, the sales revenue reached up to 890 Million TRY increasing by 5% in the first-half compared to last year.
Having started to export under AkçansaPort brand from Ambarlı Port, Akçansa increased its yearly export by 191% in 2019.
One of the leaders in building materials industry of Turkey, Akçansa increased its turnover in the first-half by 5% reaching up to 890 Million TRY, compared to the last year, according to consolidated income statement and financial results as of June 30th, 2019. The share of export revenues among total sales revenues increased from 14% to 38%, compared to the last year.
Umut Zenar, General Director of Akçansa, said that “This year, one of the most important topics is 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. For which we are proud of being a strategic business partner, this project uses an “1803 Cement” branded product, exclusively developed by our R&D teams for this project with their effective works.
Stating that this year they have started to export from Ambarlı Port, Mr. Zenar added that “despite of the industrial constriction of 40-45% in the first half of 2019, we, as Akçansa, managed to increase our turnover by 5% as we have turned to export. We target at doubling up our export by the end of this year thanks to our logistical advantage and effective port management. One of the most important export markets in the first-half of 2019, has been the USA market where we sold special products. With AkçansaPort brand, we increased our port sales revenues at Ambarlı Port by over 45% thanks to our top-quality and customer-focused service understanding.”
