Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association announced the export figures of the cement sector for the period of January 2020. Based on the data obtained from TUIK, there is a 49.3 % increase in the cement sector exports in January of this year in comparison to the same period of the previous year. Export revenue is 82 million dollars with an increase of 31.5%.
In January 2020, cement export was 1.1 million tons with an increase of 80.6%, while clinker export being 1.3 million tons with an increase of 28.9%.
Exports were mostly done to USA and Ghana
According to the TUIK data, while cement and clinker exports in January were realized mostly to USA followed by Ghana, Israel, and Ivory Coast. Guinea, Mauritania, and Brazil are among the other markets in which export rates were increased.
