The social responsibility project initiated by Çimsa with the goal of incorporating physically challenged individuals in social life and drawing attention to the problems they experience in social life is now 8 years old. Battery powered wheelchairs were delivered to physically challenged individuals in need within the scope of the project carried out by Çimsa Mersin Plant in cooperation with Mersin Metropolitan Municipality during the Disability Week.
Creating a lasting value for the society in line with the inherited strength and vision from Sabancı, Çimsa continues its social responsibility projects. Battery powered wheelchairs were delivered to physically challenged individuals in need within the scope of the project carried out by Çimsa Mersin Plant in cooperation with Mersin Metropolitan Municipality since 2015.
Manager of Çimsa Mersin Plant Mehmet Emin Kalınağaç stated that they are glad to realize their corporate social responsibility project that they have been carrying out since 2015 with the support of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality and stakeholders of Çimsa and added: “As Çimsa, we are carrying out projects with the purpose of improving the level of welfare; and we are aiming
to expand the sphere of influence of our social responsibility efforts to offer the benefit it creates to a greater mass of people. We initiated our project with the goal of incorporating physically
challenged individuals in social life and drawing attention to the problems they experience in social life. We have donated 341 battery powered wheelchairs to our physically challenged
people in need, since 2015. We wish that this number increases exponentially every year and the subject becomes a matter that receives greater support setting an example to other institutions.
We find it valuable to draw attention to this matter. As Çimsa, we will go on assuming efforts that are sustainable and create lasting value.”
