Çimsa announced the data for the first quarter of 2021. Accordingly, the company declared that it generated 639 Million TL sales revenue and 174 Million TL net profit in the first quarter of this year. Çimsa doubled its sales revenues compared to the same period of the previous year with this figure.
Expressing his satisfaction with the financial results achieved, Çimsa General Manager Umut Zenar said in his statement on the subject: “As Çimsa, we have made a successful entry into 2021. In the first quarter, particularly the strong domestic demand, contributed significantly to profitability. In addition to the growth in the domestic market, we also maintained our efficiency in the export markets. By exporting white cement to more than 65 countries, we are strengthening our international producer identity on a daily basis. We continue to increase our efficiency in the domestic market as well as in foreign markets, with our capacity to export to global markets, strong marketing network and increased white cement capacity as a result of the investments we have made in recent years. The results we received in the first quarter are an indication of this. In the period ahead, we will continue to contribute to the development of both the industry and our national economy with our products and services”.
Stating that while keeping up with the digital age, they use technology in the most efficient way and strive to contribute to a sustainable future, Zenar continued as follows: “While realizing our investments and setting up product and service development practices, we consider social and environmental factors. In this context, as Çimsa, we set a serious target in terms of waste usage. In our factories, we convert the waste we supply from different sectors and meet our energy needs. We aim to increase our contribution to sustainability by nearly doubling our annual waste usage rates.”
