Turkish contractors, who could not collect their money in Libya after dethroning of Qaddafi, were given “good news about progress payment”. A commission will be established for determination of loss and progress payments will be paid in short time. Minister of Economy said that “Progress payments of Turkish companies delayed for 1.5 years will be paid in short time. We will not tolerate any abuse on this issue. Mustafa Abdülcelil, President of National Transition Council (NTC) convoked that “Libya is ready to pay rights of companies, we are looking forward to that you reinitiate your work as soon as possible”. Çağlayan paid a daily visit to Tripoli accompanied by a crowded contractor group and said that “Turkey will always support Libya for its development and added that “The buildings we constructed in Libya must be accepted as democracy gift. Libya is important for us. A commission will be established for the loss, damages during the war. Our companies will take the money they deserve. Progress payments delayed for 1.5 years will be paid as soon as possible. We, as Turkish state, do not tolerate any abuse on the issue. We always supported Libya in its democracy feast and re-growth. Our companies are looking forward to returning to their works.” President of NTC Mustafa Abdülcelil invited Turkish companies to re-investment and added that “Turkey gave a promise and fulfilled it. Turkey realized such projects free of charge.”
Minister of Economy of Libya, Ahmet El Koshli, stated that “I send message to Turkish companies.
These great projects were initiated after liberation of Libya. Our country becomes suitable for investments, safe and stable. This is a message to Turkey and the whole world. Come and initiate your outstanding works, make investments”. Libya Vice-Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Başadur said that “We are grateful to the government lead by Erdoğan. You stood by us during the revolution and supported us courageously. Our relations will become stronger. I hope Turkish companies take more roles in Libya”. The Minister of Economy Zafer Çağlayan opening Tajura School built by Summa İnşaat thanked to construction companies such as Rönesans, Mesa, Nurol and Yüksel and said that “The people living in Bingazi and Tripoli are the same for us as the people in Istanbul and Ankara”. “My own house is in Libya, we come to cuddle with our brothers and sisters” and added that” We come together with the construction business companies who realized successful works in Libya. We accept democracy fest and election feast to be held as our own fests. Thank to the companies which constructed 23 buildings such as school, hospital and mosque free of charges upon instruction of the Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan. In Libya; Arsel, Cengiz, Rönesans and TMR built police stations, Summa built school, Nurol built Muratağa Mosque, Kolin built health center, Mesa constructed terminal buildings and Yüksel built new school building”.
