Pulling the attentions in the recent years with its fast-growing economy, Uzbekistan is the new interest of Sintek Companies Group which opened an office at the capital, Taşkent, to closely analyze the business and investment opportunities, and to play an active role in industrial plant and education investments. Sintek will also open in Uzbekistan a kindergarten branch of World Children’s University Maslak 1453 being a group company.
The Founding Partner of Sintek, Onur Atakay recalls that Uzbekistan has close commercial relations with China, Kazakhstan, Russia and South Korea as well as major markets, and adds that the group will invest in industrial contracting and education industries, notably of cement industry in the country which has been under close scrutiny of the group.
Highlighting that they are currently gearing up to provide the know-how accumulated in the preschooling thanks to World Children’s University Maslak 1453, which became a member of Sintek Group, to the Uzbekistani children, he notes that the country offers many significant advantages in taxation, insurance and customs tariff. Atakay also adds “Recently making its currency unit, Som, convertible and integrating it with the world finance system, Uzbekistan is an important commercial partner of our country. Importing from Turkey hundreds of products from industrial raw materials to the daily products, Uzbekistan hosts 520 Turkish-capital companies being active in the various industries. While these companies employ 50 thousand people, the investment opportunities in the country continue attracting new Turkish investors.”
